Police lay charges over stolen dogs – Camden PAC

A woman has been charged with being in possession of two dogs stolen from a property in Sydney’s south-west.

Just after 1am on Monday 27 March 2023, officers from Camden Police Area Command were called to a home in Catherine Fields Road at Catherine Field, following reports of a break and enter.

On arrival, investigators were told that a shed had been broken into and two dogs had been stolen from the property.

A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, officers attended a home in Deepfields Road, Catherine Field, and spoke with a 49-year-old woman yesterday (Monday 3 April 2023).

Police will allege the two dogs were located at the property. They were seized and returned to their respective owners.

The 49-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station, where she was charged with goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Wednesday 26 April 2023.
