Police lay drug trafficking charges at Murgon

Murgon detectives have charged two people with trafficking dangerous drugs.

It will be alleged the man and woman carried on the business of unlawfully trafficking dangerous drugs, namely Methylamphetamine, within the South Burnett between March 2022 and February 2023.

It will be further alleged the man and woman supplied over 200 grams of Methylamphetamine to 96 people, in exchange for in excess of $97,000.

The 52-year-old Kingaroy man and the 29-year-old Stanthorpe woman have both been charged with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs and 118 counts of supplying dangerous drugs. They have also been charged with one count each of receiving property from trafficking dangerous drugs and possessing property used in the commission of drug crime.

The man will reappear at the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 17 and the woman will appear at the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 15.
