Police make arrests after Bendigo affray

Police have charged three males following an altercation in Bendigo yesterday.

It is alleged two pedestrians approached the driver in his car at the intersection of Mitchell and Hargreaves streets about 5pm.

The pair allegedly assaulted the driver and struck his car with a machete.

The driver drove off, narrowly missing the two pedestrians.

Police attended and arrested two males at the scene and the male driver a short time later.

A 17-year-old Pompapiel male has been charged with affray and bailed.

A 20-year-old Kangaroo Flat man has been charged with affray and bailed.

The 20-year-old male driver was charged with conduct endangering person and bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
