Police make arrests after Bendigo non-fatal shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have arrested three men in relation to a non-fatal shooting that occurred in Bendigo last year.

The arrests relate to an incident that occurred in York Street on September 29.

It is alleged a number of offenders entered the property about 1am armed with a firearm.

The victim, a Bendigo man aged 44 at the time, was assaulted and shot in the leg.

He was subsequently airlifted to hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Detectives are continuing to execute a number of warrants at properties in;

• Napier Street, White Hills;

• Alstonvale Court, East Bendigo;

• Diamond Court, Kangaroo Flat and

• Marylebone Circuit, Strathfieldsaye

The men, aged 29 from White Hills, 39 from Kangaroo Flat and 29 from Strathfieldsaye, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
