A 26-year-old female Constable from the Southern District is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 9 December 2022, having been served with a summons to appear on the following charges.
- Causing death by negligent driving (X2)
- Drive whilst disqualified
- Drive without due care and attention
- Contravene vehicle standards (X2)
The offences relate to a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Penna on Tuesday 10 May 2022. The officer was off duty at the time of the incident.
She has been stood down from duty.
It is not appropriate to make any further comment given the matter is now before the Court.
