Police release images after petrol theft

Elmore police have released images of two people following a theft of petrol in Elmore earlier this month.

At 9.30pm on 4 November, a silver Holden utility attended a petrol station in Elmore and stole an amount of fuel.

Police are also investigating if this vehicle may be linked to a burglary and theft of a silver Ford F250 utility from a Stawell address, and a burglary and theft of tools along with a white Ford sedan from a St Arnaud address on 3 November.

The silver Holden utility was later recovered by police in Sunbury.

Investigators have released images of two people they would like to speak to in relation to these incidents.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 20s and has short dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, has blonde hair with brown regrowth and was wearing a black dress.

Anyone who recognises the man and woman or has information that could assist police with their investigation is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
