Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Mackay 16 March

A 69-year-old man has passed away following a traffic crash that occurred in Glenella on February 26.

At approximately 12.30pm, two vehicles collided along the Bruce Highway and Glendaragh Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 69-year-old Hampden man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Mackay Base Hospital.

He was later transferred to Townsville University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on March 16.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 53-year-old Calen man, sustained minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
