Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mountain Creek

A man has died in a single vehicle traffic crash at Mountain Creek.

Police and emergency services responded to the incident around 7am after a passing motorist alerted authorities to a crashed vehicle resting in vegetation beside the Sunshine Coast motorway onramp, east of Seriata Way.

Preliminary information indicates the vehicle, a white 2018 Mitsubishi Triton utility, is believed to have left the roadway around 1am.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Sunshine Coast man was found deceased within the utility.

Investigators are appealing for motorists travelling east on the Sunshine Motorway at the Mountain Creek interchange taking the northbound exit to travel towards Noosa between 12.45am-1.05am to come forward with dash cam footage.
