Police seek help to find missing man at Cairns City

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 51-year-old man missing from Cairns City since April 28.

Edward Rooke was last on foot at a Sheridan Street address at approximately 10.30pm on March 25.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Edward does not have a phone or car, and would be likely approaching members of the public for help.

His whereabouts is unknown; however, Edward is believed to be in the Cairns City or Smithfield areas, possibly in a park or other public area.

Police hold serious concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition.

Edward is described as tanned in appearance, approximately 183cm tall with green eyes, brown-grey hair and a heavy set build.

Police urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts within the last two months to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
