Police seek information after man found critically injured in Woolloomooloo

Police are appealing for information after a man was found critically injured inside a unit in Sydney last night.

About 9.20pm yesterday (Friday 25 June 2021), emergency services were called to a unit on Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo regarding a concern for welfare of the occupant.

Officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command attended and found a 60-year-old man with serious injuries to his head and face, possibly sustained earlier in the week.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a critical condition. He is expected to undergo surgery for his injuries.

A crime scene was established and detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
