Police seek information: Attempted armed robbery in Manly, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to an attempted armed robbery in Manly on August 19.

It will be alleged that at 5.30pm a 17-year-old boy was walking on Cardigan Parade when he was approached by a man who demanded his phone.

The pair have become involved in a physical altercation when the unknown man has produced a knife and slashed the victim’s leg.

The man has run away without the phone and was last seen on Kingsley Terrace, Manly.

The boy received treatment for the injury to his leg at a local medical centre.

Police believe the person depicted in this comfit image may be able to assist officers with this investigation.

The man is described as Caucasian, early twenties, slim to proportionate build, with blonde hair that is shaved on both sides but longer through the top like a mullet.
