Police have released an image of a man who they believe could assist with investigations following a number of dangerous driving offences throughout Brisbane this morning.
At 9.30am, an unknown man (pictured below) stole a small amount of money from a cash register at a gift shop on Brighton Road in Sandgate.
Police will allege the man then entered a taxi and was driven to Gympie Road in Aspley where he exited the taxi and approached another vehicle.
The man allegedly entered a stationary car that was in traffic and forced the 37-year-old Forest Glen driver into the backseat and continued driving to Buckland Road in Nundah, where he demanded the owner of the car get out.
The man continued driving into Brisbane City and was sighted by an officer on a motorcycle on Bowen Bridge Road turning into Gregory Terrace, where a pursuit commenced.
The man drove through a red light along Rogers Street and continued driving through multiple streets before brushing past a 41-year-old New Farm pedestrian at the intersection of Countess and Secombe Street.
The officer on the motorbike stopped to assist the pedestrian, who had a minor injury that did not require medical attention.
The man continued driving across the William Jolly Bridge towards South Brisbane, where police terminated the pursuit on Vulture Street.
At 11.30am the car was located abandoned at Dorchester Street in South Brisbane.
Police are appealing for anyone that has any information or recognises the man depicted in the below image to contact police.
The owner of the car and the pedestrian were not seriously injured.
Investigations are continuing.
