Police seek information on cyclist injured at Coopers Plains, QLD

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for information after a cyclist was found with serious injuries at Coopers Plains on Wednesday (9 February).

Initial investigations indicate the 50-year-old Sunnybank man was cycling south on Macgroarty Street around 9:30am before colliding with a vehicle.

The man was found injured a short time later near Breton Street and was transported in a serious condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Investigators are attempting to locate the man’s bicycle and the involved vehicle, which were both absent at the scene when emergency services arrived.

The bicycle is described as silver, with the word “Terrain” on the down tube and “ASR” on the front fork.

Anyone with information or relevant dashcam/CCTV footage of the area during that time or who may have witnessed the man cycling in the area, are asked to contact police.
