Police are seeking witnesses and footage of an alleged stolen car driving dangerously at Forest Lake last night.
At around 7pm, a silver BMW X5 bearing Queensland registration 998YKQ drove off from a roadside breath testing queue on Wadeville Street at speed.
The car was tracked by PolAir travelling at speeds of more than 140km/h before crashing with a Mercedes Sprinter at the intersection of Forest Lake Boulevard and Woogaroo Street a short time later.
The car continued to drive, crashing into a bus stop before coming to a stop and seven occupants ran from the scene.
All seven – four girls aged between 14 and 17 and three boys aged between 15 and 16 – were taken into custody a short time later.
The four girls were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries while the occupants of the Mercedes Sprinter, two men aged 20 and 34, were not physically injured.
Three boys have subsequently been charged with the unlawful use of a motor vehicle and refused bail to appear in Richlands Childrens Court.
Investigations continue and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the BMW X5 driving dangerously, or the crash, to come forward to police.
The car was reported stolen from Lindsay Street, Hawthorne on Wednesday, April 6.
