Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged aggravated assault that occurred in Alawa this morning.
About 6:10am on Friday 10 July 2020, a 35-year-old female was jogging over the Jingili foot bridge heading towards Lakeside Drive, Alawa, when she was approached by a male who assaulted her. The female screamed for assistance, resulting in the male fleeing the location.
The adult male is described as 180 centimetres in height, slim build, light-skinned Aboriginal appearance with shoulder length black curly hair. The offender was not armed at the time of the incident.
Police are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or any recent similar incidents in the surrounding areas over the past few weeks to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number 9358447.
