Police seek witnesses to Glen Iris assault

Police are appealing for public assistance following an assault in Glen Iris last month.

Attending officers located up to 60 youths gathered in a reserve off Saxby Court before arresting a male for an alleged assault about 8pm on 4 December 2021.

The victim of the assault left the scene and is yet to be identified.

It is alleged a female intervened with the arrest and assaulted an officer. Officers used capsicum spray to disperse the crowd and arrested the female.

A 15-year-old boy was cautioned over the incident.

A 15-year-old Aspendale girl is expected to be charged on summons with assault police.

The officer received minor injuries in the incident.
