Police seek witnesses to MAN SLASHES CAR TYRES IN MARYBOROUGH

Goldfields Criminal Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man slashed more than 70 tyres in Maryborough early Saturday morning.

From 3am onwards the offender also cut light bar cables and scratched vehicles that were parked at numerous car dealerships, local bakeries and residential addresses around Maryborough.

Detectives are appealing to the driver of an older model white Toyota HiLux dual cab ute, without a canopy, which was seen driving along Alma Street at 3.21am to come forward.

The driver of the ute is not believed to be involved in the offending and investigators believe he or she may have seen the offender.

Investigators earlier released CCTV footage and an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Goldfields Criminal Investigation Unit on 5460 3300, Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
