Police are investigating a sexual assault on a city-bound tram in Kew on 5 June.
Investigators have been told a male boarded the number 48 tram on High Street outside Victoria Park about 12.40pm.
He sat next to the 17-year-old female victim and sexually assaulted her in front of two women sitting opposite.
Investigators are keen to speak to the women or anyone on the tram at the time who may have witnessed the incident.
The man exited the tram at the Kew junction and walked towards Walpole Street.
The victim got off the tram at Church Street near a train station in Hawthorn.
