Police update 1: Appeal for witnesses / dashcam vision: Fatal traffic crash at Windsor

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision after two men died in a hit and run crash which involved seven vehicles at Windsor this morning.

Shortly before midnight a black BMW SUV was travelling northbound on Lutwyche Road when it collided with a northbound moped being ridden by a 32-year-old man from East Brisbane.

The BMW then veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a Subaru sedan driven by a 23-year-old Acacia Ridge man before also colliding with a Jeep.

The BMW then came to rest on its roof in the southbound lanes.

Two people from the BMW fled on foot.

A third person inside the BMW, a 24-year-old Aspley woman, was injured and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sadly, both the man on the moped and the driver of the Subaru died at the scene.

Two other people were injured and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three other vehicles travelling on Lutwyche Road at the time also sustained minor damage.

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision.
