Police update: Serious assaultin Brisbane CBD

Police have charged four men with attempted murder following a wounding in Brisbane CBD on Friday night.

It will be alleged around 10.30pm (September 25) police responded to a disturbance between a 16-year-old boy and four other people on Queen Street.

Upon arrival police located the boy who had been punched and then sustained puncture wounds to his torso and back.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Today, a 18-year-old Underwood man, 18-year-old Heathwood man, 19-year-old Runcorn man and a 19-year-old man from Kuraby have all be charged with one count each of attempted murder, armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and going armed so as to cause fear.

They will all appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 28.
