Police update: Wilful damage charges in Teneriffe, QLD

Police have arrested and charged a man following the alleged wilful damage of a store along Commercial Road in Teneriffe yesterday morning, January 15.

It will be alleged around 5am, the man set of a flare at the business, causing the fire alarm to be activated.

Upon arrival, officers also observed graffiti on the outside the business.

Following investigations by the Fortitude Valley Criminal Investigation Branch, a 40-year-old Ormiston man was arrested in Fortitude Valley around 7.45pm.

He has been charged with one count each of wilful damage and wilful damage by graffiti and is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 21.
