Pop-Up Park in Fitzgerald Street, South Yarra

We’re doing things differently to #supportlocal

Have you been to visit the newly transformed Fitzgerald Street (between Chapel Street and Tillet Lane) yet?

You’ll be surprised to see the street has been transformed into a beautiful recreational space with pop-up gardens, lots of greenery, colourful furniture and plenty of shade.

Closed to traffic until March 2021, Fitzgerald Street will be the most beautiful place for you, your family and friends to discover, relax in and enjoy over the summer.

The innovative pop-up garden initiative is designed by the City of Stonnington to increase our ever shrinking public space and invite you – the community to engage with one another, in a safe and beautiful social setting.

We encourage you to reconnect with your neighbourhood, enjoy the great outdoors and support your local business.

Photo above is of artist James MacSporran who will be painting a mural in the space next Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 December.

Note: While Fitzgerald Street is closed, please follow the signs for local access to Davison Place, Tillet Lane, Rocky Lane, and St Josephs Church.
