Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is aware of a bushfire burning in inaccessible country near Country Women’s Beach, Prince of Wales Island. This fire broke out several days ago and is posing no threat to property at this time. Crews will continue to monitor the area over the coming days. Smoke may affect the area, so residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
