Sydney’s iconic Italian festival, Ferragosto, is returning to Five Dock on Sunday, 21 August from 10am-5pm.
The festival will begin with an Our Lady of the Assumption Procession led by the Most Rev Bishop Daniel Meagher DD VG. The procession will begin at 9:30am at the corner of Lyons Road and Great North Road, Five Dock.
Ferragosto’s roots date back centuries in Italy and we are pleased to support our local Italian community by beginning the festa with a traditional procession.
Our local Italian community was thrilled to be a part of the procession at our last Ferragosto festa which was held in 2019.
After two years of COVID-19 cancellations, we know the community is really excited to bring Five Dock to life and celebrate Ferragosto with friends and family once again.
The Most Rev Bishop Daniel Meagher DD VG is currently based at All Hallows in Five Dock but will soon move to St Peters in Surry Hills.
