Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing operation in Everton Park.
The PSPA was declared at 2:34pm, September 3, with the exclusion zone including Deacon Street, South Pine Road, Old Northern Road and Barton Street.
Police were called to an address within the exclusion zone around 1pm where a threat to public safety was identified, resulting in the declaration.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
