Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to a large fire at Murarrie.
Emergency services were called to Alexandra Place just after 3am following reports of a large fire at an industrial building.
A PSPA was declared at 4:23am, with the exclusion zone encompassing multiple streets in Murarrie, including Alexandra Place, Creek Road, Wynnum Road, Lytton Road the Gateway Motorway.
Members of the public, including motorists, are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors and close their windows until further notice.
A number of roads in the area, including both directions of the Gateway Motorway, are currently affected.
