PSPA Emergency Declaration Declared At Charleville

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) following an ongoing incident at Charleville this evening, 5 August.

The declaration was made around 6pm after police were called to a property on King Street following reports of a serious assault.

The emergency declaration encompasses King Street to Old Cunnamulla Road and May Street to Carter Street.

Residents in these streets are urged to remain indoors and the public are advised to avoid the area.

While the matter is ongoing, no further information is available at this time.
