Public health alert: Thai Rock Restaurant

NSW Health is directing everyone who attended the Thai Rock restaurant in Stockland Mall Wetherill Park on 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 July to immediately be tested and self-isolate for 14 days, regardless of symptoms.

Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms should also be retested, even if they have had a negative result previously. Everyone must stay in isolation for a full 14 days even if their test is negative.
The change in advice is due to the identification of a third case linked to the restaurant, a customer who dined at Thai Rock on 10 July.
Earlier today, NSW Health advised that a woman in her 30s from South West Sydney worked at the Thai Rock restaurant in Stockland Mall Wetherill Park on 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 July. A previously identified case was a customer who also dined at the restaurant on 10 July.
Contact tracing for all those who attended the restaurant in this period is underway and investigations continue.
As the Crossroads Hotel cluster expands, a number of venues attended by cases linked to the cluster are under investigation, with ongoing assessment and contact tracing continuing. See full information on venues.
NSW has more COVID-19 testing sites than any other State or Territory. All South Western Sydney clinics are open and will continue to operate while there is demand/need. A new location is being sought for the Crossroads Hotel drive-through clinic for when the hotel reopens.
Anyone feeling unwell – even with the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat – is urged to seek testing and self-isolate. Do not go to work or catch public transport until you are cleared of COVID-19.
A full list of COVID-19 testing clinics is available or people can visit their GP.
