Qld COVID-19 – Mon Jun 15: Funeral restrictions eased / no new cases

Funerals from tomorrow may be attended by up to 100 people, as Queensland records another day of no new cases.

There are five active cases, 1051 recovered and a total of 1065.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said many people had been raising the issue of funeral attendance numbers.

“From tomorrow, 100 people will be allowed to attend a loved one’s funeral, with a list of the names that attend,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“I really want to thank the community for raising this issue. I know it’s been very, very tough over the past few months.

  • The Premier reiterated the timetable for lifting interstate border restrictions

“I raised at National Cabinet that Queensland has very comprehensive roadmap and that July 10th is listed there,” she said.

“I also mentioned that we will review at the end of the month, but it is our clear intention that July 10th would be the date for consideration.”
