More Queenslanders have been strongly encouraged to be tested for COVID-19, with no new cases confirmed and the number of active cases now in single figures.
There are six active cases, 1045 recovered and seven deaths for a total of 1058.
Testing and contact tracing continue in Blackwater following the death of a local man.
Overall in Queensland although 184,000 tests have been conducted – including 3,641 yesterday – there is capacity for up to 10,000 a day, especially as further steps are taken to ease restrictions.
“No matter how mild your symptoms, call your GP or 13HEALTH and arrange to get tested,” the Premier said.
The Premier meanwhile today hosted the first meeting of the Queensland Industry Recovery Alliance, a partnership with peak industry bodies to help accomplish the Government’s focus of getting Queensland’s economy into recovery and more people into jobs.
“Queensland’s economy was strong before COVID-19 hit and our terrific response to the health crisis puts us in a good position to unite and recover for Queensland jobs,” she said.
