Congratulations to the very talented Robyn Moore, who has been recognised for her significant service to charitable organisations and to the performing arts in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Many Australians would remember the familiar voice of Aussie TV icon Blinky Bill, played by Robyn, along with a number of other well-known movies, television shows and radio programs, including the longest running Australian radio series for 33 years of “How Green Was My Cactus”.
I would especially like to recognise and thank this wonderful Tasmanian for her significant contribution to charitable and not-for-profit organisations, including Make-A-Wish Australia, Dragons Abreast Australia, Rising Generations and Burn Bright National Leadership Camps, Step to the Future Foundation National Youth Forums, Tasmanian Leaders Program, Australian Childhood Foundation and numerous other charities.
Robyn has been awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for her significant contribution, and is one of a number of Tasmanians recognised and honoured today for their community service and achievements.
The Queen’s Birthday Honours List is one of the highest recognitions of community service an Australian citizen can receive.
I’d like to again thank and congratulate Robyn, and all the other Tasmanian recipients for their outstanding contributions and service.
