The Crisafulli Government has partnered with RACQ to supercharge regional tourism, launching a new campaign to drive bookings and inject millions into local economies across Queensland.

The Regional Rewards campaign is designed to encourage more visitors to explore the State’s regions, supporting local operators, jobs, and communities.

Under the initiative, travellers who spend $200 or more on eligible tours, attractions or experiences can unlock a $100 discount using the code QLD100 via Experience Oz.

With 10,000 discounted bookings available, the campaign is expected to generate more than $2 million in direct economic benefit for regional tourism businesses.

The initiative spans 10 regions across the State, including the Fraser Coast, Southern Great Barrier Reef, Mackay Isaac, Townsville, the Whitsundays, Tropical North Queensland, Outback Queensland and Queensland Country — supporting visitation right across Queensland.

The campaign also supports the long-term goals of Destination 2045, by driving increased regional visitation and strengthening Queensland’s visitor economy.

Experiences available under this initiative include guided tours in the Outback, Great Barrier Reef experiences, whale watching and jet ski tours. Bookings open from 16 June to 31 July 2026 (or until sold out), with travel valid from 17 June to 4 October 2026, driving visitation throughout the peak winter period.

Regional Rewards forms part of Queensland’s broader That Holiday Feeling Starts Here campaign, a statewide push to encourage travel and spending across the State.

Minister for the Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell said the Crisafulli Government was delivering on its commitment to grow and back Queensland’s tourism industry under Destination 2045.

“We said we would support our tourism operators and strengthen regional economies – and that’s exactly what we’re delivering,” Minister Powell said.

“Queensland is the Home of the Holiday, and Regional Rewards is putting real money into our regions, driving bookings, supporting jobs and backing local businesses.

“With 10,000 incentives on offer, we’re giving Queenslanders every reason to holiday at home and deliver real economic benefits where it matters most.

“Regional Rewards is just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start for the State’s tourism sector after a decade of decline under Labor.”

Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson said Regional Rewards was designed to boost bookings and draw more visitors to regional Queensland.

“Regional Rewards is about inspiring people to get out and experience the best our regions have to offer,” Mr Davidson said.

“It adds extra momentum to our Holiday Feeling Starts Here winter campaign, with a simple, compelling offer that makes it even easier to book a regional experience.”

RACQ MD & CEO David Carter said boosting tourism in regional centres helps drive a better future for all Queenslanders.

“Tourism is crucial for our regional economy, and we wanted to play our part to ensure these communities, and our members who live in them, are supported,” Mr Carter said.

“Our State is home to some of the most pristine environments and unique experiences, and RACQ is encouraging Queenslanders, wherever they live, to take advantage of this campaign and support local businesses.”

Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) CEO Natassia Wheeler welcomed the initiative as a practical measure to help drive visitation and visitor spending into regional Queensland at a time when many tourism businesses continue to face challenging operating conditions.

“This is the type of initiative industry has been calling for,” Ms Wheeler said.

“QTIC has been advocating for measures that encourage more visitors to book tours, attractions and experiences, and we’re pleased to see those concerns reflected in this campaign.

“Queensland has an extraordinary range of tourism experiences on offer, and initiatives like this help convert intention into bookings, supporting local businesses, jobs and communities right across the State.”

Regional Rewards bookings are available via Experience Oz at ExperienceOz.com.au/QLD100 from 16 June to 31 July 2026, or until sold out.
