Queensland latest coronavirus data as at 4 June

Queensland has no new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) to report today, however, today’s total cases have increased by one to include a historical case. This is not a current case – the person had a history of COVID-19 infection a few months earlier while overseas.

On 1 June, 2020, stage 2 of Queensland’s Roadmap to Easing Restrictions came into effect. Changes include:

  • Queenslanders can travel within Queensland, with no limit on distance except for discrete First nations communities restricted under the Biosecurity Act
  • Queenslanders can stay overnight or longer at a place that is not your home.

This easing of restrictions does not apply to biosecurity or restricted zones for indigenous communities.
