Council will provide a $5000 grant to Cairns Chamber of Commerce – on behalf of its Tradelinked Cairns-PNG-Pacific sub-committee – to investigate potential opportunities for in the Pacific region.
The $29,000 study will look to identify Cairns businesses with the capacity to service Pacific nations such as Papua New Guinea, Bougainville and the Solomon Islands.
It will establish businesses and services already provided to the Pacific region and identify service gaps and opportunities for Cairns organisations.
