Research projects aim to improve life for brain cancer survivors

The Australian Government has announced funding for brain cancer projects through the MRFF’s Australian Brain Cancer Mission:

  • $4.97 million for a team at the University of Sydney to undertake a comprehensive research program for brain cancer rehabilitation, assessment, and intervention
  • $1.94 million for a team at the University of New South Wales to help childhood brain cancer survivors improve their confidence to manage their health and to improve their quality of life

A further $3 million grant opportunity will open on 1 July 2020 for research to support new approaches and technologies to improve communications between brain cancer survivors, their families, carers and health care professionals.
