A 38-year-old male Sergeant from Brisbane Region who was stood down from the Queensland Police Service has now returned to duty.
The officer was subject of an investigation in relation to use of excessive force whilst on duty.
A disciplinary investigation has been conducted in relation to the alleged conduct. The matter has now been finalised by way of the officer undertaking a Local Managerial Resolution Plan.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.
This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
