Rifles, ammunition and power tools stolen in west of Kempsey

Rifles, ammunition and power tools have been stolen from a rural property west of Kempsey.

Sometime between 9am and 4.45pm yesterday (Thursday 4 July 2019), an unknown number of offenders gained entry to a rural property on Bears Road, Wittitrin.

Once inside, the offenders forced entry into a safe and stole several rifles and ammunition.

An assortment of power tools, including chainsaws and line trimmers, were also taken from the property.

Detectives from Mid North Coast Police District arrived at the scene and commenced investigations.

Later that afternoon, police located a stolen white Toyota Hilux Utility in bushland near Reginald Ward Street, South Kempsey; officers then found the reported stolen power tools which have been seized for forensic examination.
