RMIT’s Fashion Enterprise program is partnering with the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation as part of the 2026 Pathways Program, working alongside First Nations designers as they continue to develop their fashion enterprises.
The DAAF Pathways Program is a capacity building initiative, providing mentorship, industry engagement, and prominent runway opportunities to First Nations’ entrepreneurs.
As part of the partnership, RMIT is contributing a series of interactive workshops focused on fashion business, merchandise planning and production, sourcing and digital practice. These sessions are designed to respond to the interests and business needs identified by the participating designers while creating space for knowledge and experience to be shared.
The partnership recognises the significant cultural knowledge, creative practice and lived experience that each designer already brings. For the RMIT educators involved, the program is an opportunity to listen, learn and reflect on how fashion education can become relational, responsive and grounded in respect.
