Road closures for Australia Day events

Motorists are being reminded about road closures and congestion as people attend various events in Brisbane on Australia Day tomorrow.

Approximately 45,000 people are expected to attend Australia Day events at South Bank Parklands and riverside locations throughout the day and for the fireworks show at 7.30pm.

Roads in the Brisbane City and South Brisbane areas will be temporarily closed between 10am and 1.30pm including Turbot, Edward, Adelaide, Melbourne, Grey and Glenelg streets as well as the Victoria Bridge.

Traffic delays can be expected surrounding The Gabba during the Cricket Test match from 12.30pm.
