Cairns Regional Council advises of the following road closures on Sunday 1 December to provide safety for all participants and visitors for the Christmas in the City celebrations.
- Shields Street between McLeod Street and Grafton Street, 3pm-5pm
- Shields Street between the Esplanade and Abbott Street, 5am-9pm
- Esplanade between Spence Street and Shields Street, 5am-9pm
Residents and traders are asked to observe and obey traffic controllers and signs advising the changes to normal traffic conditions, and follow detours as sign posted.
Council appreciates the cooperation of road users and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
