Road Safety For New Aussie Arrivals

If you’re new to Australia or from a culturally different background, you can improve your road safety knowledge and get FREE driving lessons!

Complete a free road safety course and be rewarded with professional driving lessons to help you get your license and out on the road safely!

Specifically designed for people new to Australia or from a culturally different background, the road safety course is a great place to start to build your road safety knowledge, awareness and skills.

Sign up to learn Australian road rules, what the traffic signs mean and how to safely share the road with people walking or riding.

Who’s eligible for the course?

To be eligible you must be:

  • age 21 years or older
  • from a culturally different background
  • new to Australia (lived here for five years or less).

Two courses are on offer, each run for two hours a week for five weeks.

Course 1 – March/April 2024

Where: Grattan Gardens Community Centre, 40 Grattan Street, Prahran

When: 9.30 – 11.30am | Tuesday 12, 19, 26 March and 2, 9 April
