Robbery With Violence at Carindale, QLD

Police have charged five teenagers after a boy was allegedly assaulted and had property stolen at Carindale yesterday, 31 July.

It is alleged just after 2pm a group of five teenagers have approached a 13-year-old boy at a bus stop at a Creek Road shopping centre.

The teens have allegedly demanded his bag, threatening him with violence. It is alleged the boy has tried to run away but was chased by the teenagers who have caught up to him.

The teenagers have then allegedly assaulted the boy and stolen his bag before leaving the scene.

Police attended the incident a short time later and quickly located and arrested the teenagers nearby.

The boy did not receive any physical injuries as a result of the robbery.

Three 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were charged with one count each of robbery in company and have been held in custody to reappear on Tuesday 4 August.

An 18-year-old man was also charged with one count of robbery in company and remanded in custody to reappear on 24 August.
