Event details

When: Friday 11 March 2021

Where: Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf, Sydney

Time: 12.00pm – 3.30pm

The NSW Women in Life Sciences Luncheon 2022 will celebrate leadership at all levels. Leaders that nurture female ambition, elevate and inspire others to achieve their aspirations, and ultimately influence and drive new benchmarks in support of greater diversity in senior leadership positions.

The Luncheon will showcase outstanding women in biotech, including women in industry who are still under represented (32 per cent), according to AusBiotech’s Sector Snapshot 2019. The research shows that female representation is very close to or over 50 per cent in funding bodies, government and regulatory organisations, research institutions and support service companies.

Become a Big Sister

Make a commitment: The successful ‘Big Sisters’ programme will again invite women advanced in their careers in the sector to sponsor a student to attend the event and facilitate their networking during the Luncheon. Up to 30 women students will be sponsored to attend the event and receive a one-year membership of AusBiotech.

Sponsorship of a sister is for the Luncheon only, and a practical and tangible way that leaders in the life sciences can provide support and encouragement to a woman in early stages of her career in life sciences. Each sponsored place can be secured for $275. Sponsors will be recognised at the event and the sponsored sister seated at the same table. To include this sponsorship please select the checkbox during the registration process.

AusBiotech values their partnership with Medicine Australia, and the opportunity to demonstrate change in action around policies of equality and inclusion. Joining forces, this luncheon brings stakeholders together to further galvanise the diversity required within life sciences. For this diversity is the underpinning to building a successful sector – a position supported regardless of gender.

Save the date and register as an individual or table now.
