Secret Harbour bushfire

Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Secret Harbour on Sunday, 10 January 2021.

Around 5.40pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to a report of a bushfire between Secret Harbour Boulevard and Taki Place in Secret Harbour, within the Port Kennedy Scientific Park.

The fire burnt approximately 3000sq metres of bushland before being extinguished. Due to high winds at the time and the dense bushland of the area, the fire had the potential to be catastrophic.

Any members of the public who were driving in the vicinity of the above area between 5.15pm and 7pm, who have dash-cam vision of the area is asked to come forward.

Anyone who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles in the vicinity of the fire, or has any information regarding this fire is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
