Police are investigating an incident at Port Pirie West this morning.
About 10.15am Saturday 8 March emergency services were called to a home in Sayner Court after reports that a person was unconscious.
The person has been taken to hospital where they remain in a critical condition.
A man is currently in police custody speaking to detectives.
