Service station robbed at Blacktown, NSW

An investigation is underway into the armed robbery of a service station at Blacktown overnight.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were called to the business on Kildare Road, responding to reports staff had been threatened by men armed with a machete and a rifle.

The store attendant told police three men entered the store about 9.45pm (Sunday 23 February 2020), one armed with a machete, one armed with a rifle and a third man who appeared unarmed.

Two bystanders were also held at bay by one of the men while the others took cash and cigarettes before all three ran from the store.

The men were last seen driving east along Kildare Road in a black hatchback.

There have been no reported injuries.

A crime scene has been established and detectives from Blacktown PAC have now initiated an investigation.
