Service station robbed at Whyalla Stuart, South Australia

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a Whyalla service station tonight. A female attendant was injured during the robbery.

A man entered the service station on McRitchie Crescent, Whyalla Stuart about 8pm on Saturday 4 July armed with a pair of scissors. He threatened the attendant and stole money before leaving.

During the robbery, the attendant received an injury to her hand from the scissors and was treated at the scene by paramedics, but did not require further medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a man about 183cm tall, with a slim build and covering his face with a black and white t-shirt. He was wearing a dark blue puffer jacket, cream or tan chinos and black and white shoes.

He was last seen heading down Pine Street towards Booth Street on foot.

Whyalla CIB detectives are investigating the robbery and crime scene investigators are attending the scene.
