Three teenage boys have been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl in Sydney’s south west at the weekend.
On Sunday 16 August 2026, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command – with assistance from The Hume Police District – commenced an investigation after receiving a report a teenage girl had been sexually assaulted.
Police were told a 17-year-old girl had allegedly been sexually assaulted by three teenage boys the previous day (Saturday 15 August 2026), at a home in the Macarthur region.
Camden Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries before the investigation was handed to State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad where inquiries continued under Strike Force Forinu.
Following extensive inquiries, about 7am yesterday (Wednesday 19 August 2026) strike force detectives – with assistance from South West Metropolitan Region’s Operations Support Group and Public Order and Riot Squad – executed search warrants at several homes in the Macarthur Region.
During the search warrants, officers seized electronic devices and items for further examination.
Following the search warrants, three boys – all aged 17 – were arrested and taken to Camden Police Station.
One of the youths has been charged with 11 offences,
- Aggravated sex assault-offender in company with other/s (six counts)
- Sexual intercourse without consent (three counts)
- Sexually touch another person without consent, and
- Carry out sexual act with another without consent.
Another youth has been charged with eight offences;
- Aggravated sex assault-offender in company with other/s (six counts)
- Common assault, and
- Sexual intercourse without consent.
The third youth has been charged with two counts of aggravated sex assault-offender in company with other/s.
They have all been refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Thursday 20 August 2026).
