Shipston Reserve’s Makeover Completed

We’ve made a series of upgrades at Shipston Reserve in Cheltenham to make it a safe and enjoyable venue for both players and spectators.

The upgrade was made possible thanks to funding of $200,000 from the Victorian Government, through Sport and Recreation Victoria and the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.

The changes to Shipston Reserve focus primarily on improving accessibility and functionality. This includes the handrails down the main steps to the ground and the upgraded accessible car parking including a ramp and safety bollards. We have also installed an accessible pathway from the storage cage to the sportsground.

Spectators will be able to enjoy the action on the field with new timber finished recycled plastic seating installed along the permitter.

A wicket realignment was completed earlier this year and is currently being managed to be ready for the cricket season. We’ve also replaced the changeroom surface in all four changerooms from carpet tile to regupol.
