A driver has died after a single vehicle crash in state’s west this afternoon.
About 2.45pm today (Monday 2 December 2024), emergency services were called to Cope Road, Cope, approximately 12km east of Gulgong, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command located a Silver Volkswagen ute that had collided with a tree.
The driver – a male believed to be in his 20s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics however, he died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
The vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
